Business Cards
One of the stumbling blocks for me at the Kraft Haus was my lack of optimism. I should have been prepared with business cards to facilitate custom orders. Since I didn't have a card, I missed some opportunities. Today I used www.overnightprints.com to upload my design and they will ship this week. The cards are easy to design using their tools or using your own and uploading. Jamie Irene and Bouncing Wall use those cards and they are really quite sexy. The card stock is thick, uv protected and you can choose square or rounded corners. I can't wait for them to arrive:).

My first forray into selling my handmade bags and embellished baby gear at the Third Annual Kraft Haus in the Queen Anne neighborhood in Seattle. Big thank yous to Jamie Irene and Katy Kelly for their friendship and encouragement. My Space has a Kraft Haus page. . . lots of cool artists are "friends" there.

What do do with Charm Packs
I'm drawn to charm packs. I love to look at them, touch them, sort them out and play with patterns using them. Sure, I could easily cut my own squares; I have the tools, but something about the charm pack is so easy and perfect--the right colors and patterns pre-cut and selected so I can get right to work. What do we do with the Charm Pack? So many crafters have ideas. I even have a couple:).
1. Make a scarf. . . sew your favorites together in a string, back it with linen, flannel or fleece and you have a colorful scarf and depending upon your backing it can be for any season.
2. Make a belt. . . sew your favorites together in a string, iron them in half and then the halves onto themselves, top-stitch and add your d-rings. Super easy and fun.
